SeaStar Interact DCM Digital Switching System

Redefining Convenience & Innovation

The SeaStar Interact DCM Digital Switching System is a modern technology that replaces physical switches on a boat's dashboard. This innovation not only declutters the dashboard but also enhances the boat's electrical system's lifespan. At Sportsman Boats, we are at the forefront of this innovation, leading the way into the future.

The NMEA2000 communication system links the SeaStar Interact DCM Digital Switching System to your Garmin MFD, providing a display screen that shows all your 12V switches, eliminating the need for physical toggle switches on the dashboard. This system also allows us to create presets and modes with preferred lighting combinations. This level of flexibility is only possible with digital switching.

Furthermore, the system comes with a remote fob that allows you to operate the eight most frequently used functions on your Sportsman Boat from up to 100 feet away. This remote can also turn all power on or off on the vessel, redefining convenience and innovation.

The Interact DCM Module

The Brain Powering The Digital Switching
Shows the internals of the digital switching system with the fusing redundancy.

The central component of the system is the Interact DCM module, which is installed inside the console and behind the electronic equipment. It serves as the single source of power and fuses for all 12V accessories on the boat. One of the significant advantages of this module is its ability to easily bypass the system, allowing users to physically turn on any of the circuits. By default, all of the fuses are in their "normal" positions when the unit is shipped. However, users can override the system by moving any of the fuses to the "bypass" position, as shown in the diagram.

Sportsman Custom HTML5 GUI

Custom HTML Interface Directly On Your Garmin Screen
Overview of the Sportsman custom GUI on the dash

The Sportsman Custom HTML5 GUI is a standard feature on every Sportsman Boat, delivering a simple, intuitive interface with all essential functions at your fingertips. The layout is organized into three main vertical sections — Lights, Pumps and Others — making it easy for users to quickly locate and operate key systems.

The Lights section displays all lighting controls specific to each model, providing a perfectly matched setup for every boat.
The Pumps section shows all onboard pumps, again tailored to the boat’s exact equipment list.
The Others section houses additional controls like the powered windshield vent and any extra accessory switches labeled ACC 1 for easy expansion when adding new accessories.

At the bottom of the interface, there are five quick-glance displays showing critical information: house voltage, engine voltage, fuel level and depending on the model, freshwater level, waste level or speed.

Designed with real-world use in mind, the buttons are oversized for easy operation even while underway. Each button features a large, illuminated background when active, making it simple to quickly see which systems are on or off.

The result is a custom-tailored, user-friendly experience that enhances every day on the water.
