Sportsman Boat Owners of Maryland Celebrate Record-Breaking Annual Tie-Up

This past Sunday, Riverside Marine along with the Sportsman Boat Owners of Maryland gathered for their highly anticipated annual tie-up at Tolchester Marina, and this year’s event was one for the record books. With 105 boats and 373 attendees, it was our largest turnout yet — a true testament to the growing Sportsman family and the strong sense of community among our owners in the greater Chesapeake Bay area.

The day was all about family fun and connection on the water. From the start, the docks and beaches buzzed with energy as families mingled, kids made new friends, and owners swapped boating stories.

Highlights of the day included:

• Raffle – 15 incredible prizes were raffled off to attendees.

• Kids Scavenger Hunt – Young boaters took off in search of hidden treasures around the marina, laughing and learning along the way.

• Tech Time with Riverside Marine – New this year, we hosted two interactive sessions where Riverside Marine’s expert technicians answered questions and provided hands-on instruction covering electronics and general boat care. These sessions quickly became a crowd favorite, giving owners a chance to learn tips and tricks directly from the pros.

The Sportsman Boat Owners of Maryland Annual Tie-Up isn’t just about boats — it’s about the people who love them. Every year, this event continues to grow, strengthening the bonds of our community and creating lasting memories for families on the water.
